Welcome to the 427 (London) Wing Website and to the Royal Canadian Air Force Association!
When US President Theodore Roosevelt called Canada, "the Aerodrome of Democracy", he was speaking of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. The Plan trained approximately 200,000 pilots, navigators, flight engineers, wireless operators, air gunners, radar and other technicians and ground personnel at over 100 bases from coast to coast. Canadian airmen and airwomen were joined by trainees from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, France, Norway, Czechoslovakia, Belgium and Holland.
Today, few of those bases remain but one building, located at the London International Airport, was preserved, maintained, and since the 1960's has been the home of 427 (London) Wing. The Wing today has an energetic and enthusiastic membership and invites anyone with an interest in aviation to become a member. It is not necessary to have a military or aviation background in order to join. In addition to our numerous social activities and community involvement we support no less than seven Air Cadet squadrons in and around the London area.
Check out our website, subscribe to our free newsletter, come out for our famous Friday lunches, ask about our "Spirit of Aviation Museum" project, meet some new people, make some new friends, find out what else the Wing can offer you. One call to 519-455-0430 is all you need to do.
Message from the President

We cover Aviation to Zoomers (the new baby boomers) and everything else in between. Today, we have launched a colourful new website designed to provide just that. We invite you to visit www.427wing.com and take a tour around our new home.
